MechaFace
A really hard (but fun!) project for Rapid Prototyping 2019 :)
Emma Woods is a mechanical face that (tries to) replicate human facial expressions.
You can use controllers to move the eyes, eyelids, eyebrows, and mouth!
Our process
MechaFace is made out of wood and wood PLA. We used mini-servos to power its functions!
Parts were made with laser cutting (Fusion360 CAD files), 3D printing, and Arduino.
Some fun videos :)

Reflections
We aren’t mechanical engineers but the project was super fun and interesting, despite the challenge. Although the project didn’t completely work the way we wanted, I had really great team members, and I would 100% do this again!
