Research Paper: Effect of Visual Stimuli on Diet Choices
A research intervention project investigating the differences in the effects of healthy and unhealthy visual food stimuli, and how these effects affect our every day diet choices. Co-writers include Gaby Maurice and Ezra Truneh.
We designed a randomized two-condition intervention using Qualtrics and surveyed 197 MTurk participants. Out of these participants, 159 participants were statistically analyzed. We’ve concluded that there are significant effects of both kinds of visual stimuli – Unhealthy stimuli showing a slight greater effect than healthy stimuli.
